Wonderful vid! my props!!

redmistpete @ 12:54 pm

Ballistic stretching is not always 'bad for you'. They can cause injury, just the same as other static stretches but as long as you do a proper warm up and stretching first and control the range of motion you should be OK - after all, the kicks themselves are meant to be dynamic and ballistic ;)

funk141 - You have a good attitude towards martial arts - very refreshing to see. Nice comment. Cheers.

C-walk? lol
But I never do a lot of warm up before practice. Well one of my teachers has us do warm up the other expects us to stretch before and we do kihon practice for warm up.

I train & teach Muay Thai but I learn from every art I come across. There is always something you take from another fighting system. Great Video - Many thanks

Nothing really, but the fact that one can be a great fighter, but not be a saint.

Though it's possible he was a laid back guy. I got nothing against him.

ouch dude, no ones perfect but can't you respect the creator of the art ? oyama sounds like he would've been a pretty cool guy to meet, also what does quinton have to do with Oyama ?

Kyokushin, is Korean root planted in Japan. Person who planted this form of Karate Martial Art was Mas Oyama. I respect him as a person and Kyukushin master. He said he wasn't God. But he is God of Kyokushin Karate.

AAAhmed46 @ 5:39 pm

Oyama was not the best…but he was really good.

GSP and Bas Rutten also have kyokushin backgrounds, in his "BIG DVD OF COMBAT" Bas rutted gives kyokushin alot of respect and praise.

The yakuza thing…well i respect him as a martial artist, not a person. Sorry guys, Oyama is not god. Plus there is no hard evidence for the yakuza connection. Hell wasn't PRIDE accused of having a Yakuza connection? Didn't quinten Jackson go nuts with his SUV?

Fighters are not saints, whether it's karate or MMA. Respect the fighting, not the people…much.

My MMA coach started with kyokushin, and integrated a lot of it in his curriculum.

GSP and Bas Rutten also have kyokushin backgrounds, in his "BIG DVD OF COMBAT" Bas rutted gives kyokushin alot of respect and praise.
