Kicks and knees anywhere (except throat, spine and the front of the knee). Punches (bareknuckle) and elbows are allowed to hit below the neck only.
half-point are scored to knock the other down (or visibly incapacitate him) less than 3 seconds. Over 3 seconds (like a KO) and it is a full point and win.
If there are no knockdowns/outs, there will be a lot of extensions until the judges finally must give it to the most dominating/best fighter.
I don't like the style of competition in muay thai…
Karate looks more fun. Buy maybe later.
try muay thai if you can find a stable.
I want to learn lowkicks. That makes sense.
And the competitions are different, i like the Taekwondo sparring style and the karate looks like fun.
So i want to try it out.
>> Why would you take another striking martial arts if you are already doing tkd? Just do wrestling bjj/sambo/judo/mma (one of those) Taking another striking art makes no sense. Diversify yourself.
Yes it's true, no hand or elbow strikes to head though.
I'll start kyukushinkai after winter…
But i wont stop training Taekwondo, i think it would be a good combination.
Maybe later i start competing in All style.
It appears that your tournaments are full contact–I didn't see any flags. Is this true?
If u wanna see great kicks, search Taekwondo!!
